Wrecked in Yellowstone
by Mike Stark
Wrecked in Yellowstone is my recommended book in the History section.
The 200 page book tells the true story of E. C. Waters who tried to establish a steam boat business on Lake Yellowstone in the early years of the National Park. Commercial interests of his powerful competitors as well as Waters' abrasive personality kept getting in they way, though.
I read most of this book in one evening while sitting in the lobby of the hotel at Lake Yellowstone, the very location where a lot of this story happened 120 years earlier. If you take one history book along to your trip of Yellowstone, make it this one!
